Tour Part 4

Here we go...

Off to the left hand side of the living room is our game/computer room.
This is where all random objects in our house come to die. Corey uses this room much more than I do for his various computer gaming/Warhammer activities. It houses our computer command station and our bookshelf full of odds and ends.
From the doorway of this room you look down the hallway, which we're still in the process of decorating/picture hanging:
The next door down is the guest bathroom. Shower room on the right, toilet room on the left (sorry, the angles are not conducive to a good picture... but you probably know what a toilet looks like anyway, yes?).
Continuing down the hallway, you'll arrive at the guest bedroom.
If you come visit us, this is where you'll sleep (we'll be nice and replace the ratty blanket with actual bedding). The futon is VERY comfy, I assure you! Corey actually prefers it to our regular bed.  So come visit us!

Hey, I just found your blog from google while I was searching for information on Aomori Japan. My husband got a job with the JET program to go teach English and we just found out that we will be living in Aomori (although we don't know where exactly, hopefully we will find out soon). I was just wondering if I could ask you a few questions about random stuff. I am super nervous about moving out there and I have 3 little kids I am taking with me so that adds to the anxiety. If you would be willing to talk to me via email can you send me an email at tamara@t24ever.com ? If not, I understand. Your blog so far as been a great help in seeing a little bit of what I might be experiencing.

I'm enjoying the tour of your home. So very different than 30 years ago. Are you guys planning to stay off-base your entire tour? We decided we didn't want to move into base housing when our name came up and never regreted it. Looks like you got great digs right there! Though it was always warmer when visiting base-living friends in the winter!

Terry- Yup, we plan to live off-base the whole tour. It's worth being a little more chilly in the winter! :)

Tamara- Thanks for reading, I'm just about to email you...

So wait, all those little homes are not on the base? Do you have Japanese neighbors?

No, all the homes in my area are not on the base, but out in the city of Misawa. They are, however, built for and (I believe) only rented to American military families. We do have Japanese neighbors.
